1.000 Children From North Sumatra and NAD will gather in Sibolangit
Medan – Approximately 1,000 children who came from North Sumatra and Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) will gather in Sibolangit camping grounds this weekend. The gathering which is called as the 2010 Children Village will be an excellent event for creativity, discussion and reforestation.
Adli Sofyan, the Chairman of the executive committee for 2010 Village Child said the gathering of 1000 children is initiated by KKSP Foundation (The Education and Information Center for Child Rights) Medan. The gathering is expected to be a medium for children to learn and try to preserve, protect and love the healthy environment in daily live, both within the family and social environment.
"Environmental issues would be the main theme in this gathering - how the children do something to save the earth from destruction," said Sofyan Adli in Medan, Sunday (31.1.2010).
