NGOs Urged the District Government Improving Health Quality

Saturday, 10 October 09 | 344 hits | send | print MEULABOH - 21 NGOs that are members of Forum Peduli Kesehatan Aceh Barat (West Aceh Forum for Health) urged the district government and parliament members to improve the health quality in the respective area. All these years, the community members are disappointed with non-professional and less-optimal medical services.

Alfaizin and Taufik Hidayat who are representing the NGO forum on Thursday (10/9) alleged to Serambi that the urge for health quality improvement because most of the community received less medical services. All these years, there is impression that the medical services are discriminative.

There are 12 demands expressed by the forum alleged Taufik Hidayat – improvement the quality of basic medical services without any discrimination, sustainable improvement of human resources for medical personnel, improvement of sensitive and children and women-based services for victims of violence, providing sanction for medical personnel and paramedic who violated rules, and take part in providing appreciation for those who do their tasks properly.

Other demands are the equal distribution of medical personnel in all clinics in West Aceh, increase and improve the medical equipment as needs and priority, regulating the use of ambulance, providing medicines in hospitals, allocating the annual district budget for health at least minimal 15 % as the mandate of Qanun Aceh No. 11 year 2003, perform scheduled monitoring and sustainable in Hospital and clinics, improving the status of hospital, and proper assignment of human resource in Health Office based on the competency.

The 21 NGOs that urge the demands are KKSP, PAPAN, AsoH, PB-HAM, Suak Aceh Barat, GeRAK, Yayasan An-Nisa, JKMA-BTU, YPK, LBH Banda Aceh Pos Meulaboh, HMI Cab Meulaboh, GSF, Sunspirit Meulaboh, SOS Desa Taruna, FGD Al Ihsan Meureubo, Pema UTU, BEM STAI, BEM FKM, Akper Poltekkes, Akbid Poltekkes, and Meulaboh Rescue.
