Signing the Mou on Clinic Managing and Management between KKSP Foundation and Preparation Clinic of Leung Keubeu Beujagat in Darul Makmur sub-district, Nagan Raya District

The community members expect the improvement for better health quality by the government through health facilities in both rural and urban areas as well as the equal health quality for Indonesian to achieve Healthy Indonesia 2010.

KKSP Foundation – the Education and Information Center for Child Rights views that health as one of the important factors in developing welfare society. Realizing a healthy society could not be done only by campaigning healthy live, but also by providing accessible medical services and meet the minimum standard. KKSP takes part in supporting the vision of health development in Nagan Raya District - Nagan Raya Sehat 2010/Healthy Nagan Raya 2010”.

One of the social works of KKSP is raising awareness of the community on healthy live and providing medial services in the target areas. One of them is by constructing medical clinic in Kuala Tripa Village, Darul Makmur sub-district of Nagan Raya District.

The permanent-construction clinic was completed last month and on November 12, 2009 the MOU between KKSP Foundation who is represented by Taufik Hidayat, the Project Coordinator and the Head of Preparation Clinic of Leung Keubeu Beujagat, Safaruddin as form of cooperation in management and managing of the clinic to improve the health quality of the community in this respective area, particularly the children.

Taufik Hidayat said that the construction of the clinic is one of the commitments of KKSP in improving the health quality of the community in areas without medical facilities. KKSP will also work with the clinic of Leung Keubeu Beujagat in its managing and management until the year of 2011.

“It is expected that through the cooperation with the clinic in Darul Makmur sub-district the community will have appropriate medical services because the clinic is equipped with medicines, mobile unit and nurses that are standing by for 24 hours.”, says Taufik.

Geuchik (the head of the village) of Kuala Tripa, Dahlan Jalil in his welcoming speech expressing his gratitude for the construction and operation of the clinic for the community, particularly children. He also expects the Leung Keubeu Beujagat Clinic could facilitate this new clinic, therefore, it will provide medical services for children and adults as well.

The head of the Leung Keubeu Beujagat Clinic, in his speech promised to cooperate in providing medicines and assigning medical team for the clinic.

“We will supply medicines the community needed and assign medical team in weekly basis to provide medical services in this clinic,” says Safaruddin.

“There is also a possibility for this clinic to be upgraded into Puskesmas Pembantu (supporting clinic) and will receive operational budget if it functions well.” He adds.

The official announcement of this clinic, which takes place on the same day with the National Health Day ended with the signing of the MoU that is witnessed by the Geuchik of Kuala Tripa, village apparatus and the community. (Abdi Jaya)
